Urge to Splurge!!!

Well, February is here. Wow! Time flies!! Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow so we will be having six more weeks of winter. We really need the extra rain here!!

The other day I was having my "urge to splurge" moment. When I used to try to cut back on shopping, I remember after a dry spell having a sudden urge to splurge and I would act on it. This time I didn't, but I did feel it. Mostly I wanted to browse Barnes and Noble (my favorite store) and buy some new books. Love the feel of a new book, but this doesn't make sense because I got the Kindle last year for Mother's Day and that was so I could make my life easier by not lugging around a bunch of books. Go figure!

The other thing I wanted to do was go to Panda Express to get dinner. I made dinner, but I was thinking, "if I could just go pick that up it would make life easier". In some instances it would, since my schedule is going to be really crazy the next eight weeks.

I do have a tendency to have splurge moments. Like I said I usually act on them and start saying my usual, "I deserve this", "I'll get in trouble later", and my famous "who cares"?

So I wonder when the next urge to splurge will show up. I managed to squelch this one. Maybe by doing that they will come fewer and farther between.
