Looking forward to getting off this cycle!!

Well, here it is, a little over two weeks and my challenge begins! I'm looking forward to it. Really. Every year this time my husband gets frustrated with me and the money I spend. I'm out there getting things for Christmas, things we need and possibly a few things we don't need. My excuse now is, next year I won't be doing this. Every year it's the same song, second verse....I'm sure some of you can relate.

I really set up this challenge so that I could learn discipline and take my time purchasing the things I really "need". I buy things because they are sooooo darn cute! As I've described, I'm really a Target girl with a little bit of Macy's thrown in. So, what I spend isn't always on designer things. I'm a victim of "it's only $10, $15, $20". Multiply that by ten times and it's up to $200!! It's amazing to me to see how quickly small purchases add up. I now notice two trips to Target and Walmart and lunch with a friend is $100 in no time. Two forties and a twenty equal $100! I never noticed that before.

So my friends, I'm looking forward to getting off this rollercoaster, purchasing only the needs in life (to quote my son), and getting a handle on my financial craziness.
